21.6 Weeks

We have family in town this weekend so we took some pictures. They say I definately look bigger than I did 3 weeks ago when they saw me last. So I thought I would post my newest pregnancy picture. I need to get one with Alex too, but I thought about it after we started changing out of our church clothes into our shotrs and t-shirts so Alex said next time :)

We are excited that we will get to use all of the hand me downs we received from our niece and nephews.

18.7 weeks

We still don't know the genders yet, but soon...very soon.


While in Houston this weekend my Mom took a snap shot from her cell phone to send to my brother in the military since he has not had the chance to see me pregnant so I though I would share it with the rest of you who don't get to see me very often, if at all.


I will probably try and take some cute ones and more since I will get who knows how big.

Costa Rica

We got back from our quick trip to Costa Rica on Sunday night and although I never planned to go there...I would definitely consider going back. It was beautiful.
The trip was way too short and in my current condition I was limited to the things I could participate in, but it was wonderful. Those who were able to go longer and were not pregnant were able to see a few different parts of the country and participate in a ton of adventures...white water rafting, bungee jumping, surfing, zip lining in the jungle, horseback riding, kayaking, tubing, mud bath, waterfall sight seeing...and Alex even got a round of golf in.
I had a great time spending time with the family...eating, swimming, hanging out at the beach and participating in all of the wedding events. That was enough to send me to bed exhausted every night :)

Sounds like I should get a body pillow...I used to have one, but never used it so I cut it down and made 2 pillows out of it...if I would have only known.

Sounds like the boosters are a go...but may look into the specifics of each kind to see what will work best for us.

And the stroller I think I am actually going to have to go into the store to check them out...especially since this one would only work for a few months. I didn't see any online that would hold 2 carriers and then 2 kids without carriers, but a reply e-mail I got told me otherwise so I better go check it out.

I also got a comment on boppys and I do have 1 of those, 2 infant to toddler rockers, 2 cribs, and a swing (but I don't think I need 2).

Looking for Feedback

I am really lucky and have quite a few hand me downs from my 20 month old niece, but there are a few things I probably still need so I have been looking and thought I would see if you guys have any feeback for me. Although all of the cute clothes and the girly carrier will do me no good if we have 2 boys.

I do not see a travel system for twins, but I did see this stroller that can hold 2 infant carriers and have a friend that has the single one and she says she loves hers.

I have heard lots of good things about bumbos...would you get 2? I don't want to get 2 of everything, but should this be a must have for each? What about the optional tray...does anyone use a tray on theirs?

I am also considering these boosters instead of highchairs. 2 highchairs would consume my entire breakfast area. I think I could almost use the bumbo instead, but this one has the seat belt constraints and the bumbo does not. Definately need 2 of these. Would you get the bumbo and a booster or choose between the 2?
And last for now but definately not least...actually need input on first. What about a maternity pillow? Wish you had or waste of money?

I hope you are not suprised that I am already looking for advice on baby supplies...I like to have things planned well in advance...leaves me time to think about it and make lots of changes and improvements before I actually need whatever I was planning for in the first palce.

I have not done coupons for a very long time now, but if diaper or wipes coupons come in the paper and or you see a great deal on them please let me know...I would much rather stock up while I can get them at a discount than buy them all full price as needed...I am going to need a TON...and at full price 15 cents each that is going to add up really quick.

The Long Awaited Post

If I have your e-mail address you have already heard the GREAT NEWS...If not here it is (and I need your e-mail address)...We are PREGNANT!!...with twins :)

What takes most people 10 months has taken us 6 years, but we wouldn't have it any other way... although I like to think we have been blessed with 2 to make up for lost time. Everything is going well and we are anxious to see them again. In the first 9 weeks we had 4 sonos done, but we haven't seen them for 4 LONG weeks now. Does anyone have a sono machine at home we could come by and use?

The full term 40 weeks due date is January 13th, but since there are 2 I am pretty confident that they will be joining our family this December, but they have been very patient up until now so I wouldn't be surprised if they were even late.

We should know by the end of August what genders they are. We have been patient up until now...so no, we aren't planning to wait to find out. They are fraternal so we have all 3 combos available.

I think that is about all of the details everyone is interested in.
